Cookies and local storage

Last updated 31 October 2026

In short

  • The TagOrbit website sets no cookies of its own.
  • Nothing stored in your browser is used for analytics, advertising or tracking.
  • Cloudflare, which carries our traffic, may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from automated traffic.
  • Accessibility settings you choose on the website stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
  • The application keeps your sign-in session in your browser, so that you stay signed in.
  • You can remove all of it at any time in your browser's settings.

The TagOrbit website sets no cookies of its own, and nothing stored in your browser is used for analytics, advertising or tracking. A few things are kept in your browser only because the website or the application needs them to do what you ask.

1. What are cookies and local storage?

  • A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Your browser sends it back to that website on each visit.
  • Local storage is a space in your browser where a website can keep information. Unlike a cookie, your browser does not send it to the website on each visit. It stays until it is cleared.
  • Session storage works like local storage, but it is cleared when you close the browser tab.

The same rules apply to all three. We store and read information in your browser in line with Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006, the GDPR and Guideline 1/2020 of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

2. Does the TagOrbit website set cookies?

No. The website sets no cookies, and it uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Two things may still be stored in your browser.

Cloudflare carries the traffic between your browser and our servers. When Cloudflare needs to tell people from automated traffic, it may set a short-lived security cookie, for example __cf_bm. This cookie is strictly necessary to protect the website and the application. Cloudflare's privacy policy explains how Cloudflare handles this data.

Your accessibility settings

If you change the text size, colours or spacing on the website, your browser keeps your choice in its local storage, so that every page looks the way you set it. This happens only when you change a setting. Your settings are never sent to us.

3. What does the TagOrbit application store in your browser?

The application sets no cookies of its own. It keeps this information in your browser:

  • Your sign-in session, in local storage, so that you stay signed in. This is strictly necessary. Signing out removes it.
  • An invitation you opened before signing in, in local storage, so that it is not lost while you sign in. It is removed when you accept or dismiss the invitation.
  • Your settings and other conveniences, such as the colour theme, the language, the width of the side menu, the layout of tables, the records you opened most recently and the alerts you have already seen. They make the application work the way you left it.

4. What is stored, and for how long?

What Set by Kept in Why How long
Security cookie, for example __cf_bm Cloudflare, on the website and the application A cookie To tell people from automated traffic Short-lived
Accessibility settings The website, only when you change a setting Local storage To keep the text size, colours and spacing you chose Until you clear them
Sign-in session The application Local storage To keep you signed in Until you sign out
Invitation link The application, when you open an invitation before signing in Local storage To keep the invitation while you sign in Until you accept or dismiss it
Settings and other conveniences The application Local storage, and session storage for one setting To keep the application the way you left it Until you clear them; the session storage setting until you close the tab

5. How can you remove it?

You can remove cookies and local storage at any time:

  1. Open your browser's settings.
  2. Find the section on privacy, cookies or site data.
  3. Remove the data for the TagOrbit website and application, or for all sites.

To remove only your sign-in session, sign out of the application. If you remove the application's data, you will need to sign in again.

6. Will this page change?

If we ever start storing something new in your browser, we will update this page before we do, and change the date at the top.

7. Who can you ask?
